I’m Satish. I like a room with good energy.

I moved to Wellington from India in 2018, and photography became my way of getting to know the city and its people. What started as shooting friends’ parties turned into three years as a resident club photographer, plus festivals, tech talks and weddings.

By day I work in the corporate world, where getting the details right is the job. I bring that to every shoot: I check my settings twice, back up every card before I leave the venue, and don’t send a gallery until every frame I’ve picked earns its place.

I arrive early to read the light and the room. From dark dance floors to bright wedding venues, stages to birthday tables, I come prepared for whatever the light is doing.

I move quietly, catch candid moments, and only step in to direct a photo when it’s needed: a team shot, a family after the ceremony, a birthday toast, the couple before the speeches.

Every photo is hand-picked and edited in a natural, true-to-the-moment style, so the room still looks like it did and skin tones still look like skin. You’ll get an online gallery within a week, ready to download and share.

Off the clock, I’m either photographing planes at the airport, trying a new recipe, or down a YouTube rabbit hole learning something new. On a good day, I’m just out in Wellington soaking up the sun with a camera.
